Aircraft Performance App For Gulfstream G550

Examples > Gulfstream

Each form can be printed directly to your wireless printer using Air Print or it can be emailed from your iPad.

The program finds all the required weight limits:

  • Weight Limit due to Runway Length
  • Weight Limit due to Climb Requirements
  • Weight Limit due to Brake Energy
  • Weight Limit due to Tire Speed
  • Weight Limit due to Obstacle
  • Weight Limit due to SID Gradient

Using the most restrictive of the weight limits encountered, the program calculates:

  • Actual Accelerate-Go Distance
  • Actual Accelerate-Stop Distance
  • Effective Runway Length Required
  • All V-Speeds, V1, VR, V2, V1mcg, Brake-Energy Vmbe
  • Optimum V1/VR Ratio from Reference Accelerate-Go Distance and Reference Accelerate-Stop Distance
  • 2nd Segment Climb Gradient
  • Horizontal Acceleration Distance (if necessary)
  • Final/En-Route Climb Gradient

Also, Rated EPR for Takeoff Thrust, Max. Continuous Thrust and Go-Around Thrust

Takeoff and Landing Performance is computed for

  • Dry Runway
  • Wet Runway
  • Contaminated Runway

Takeoff Example - G550

Takeoff Performance G550

Enter the required airport and weather information. The values will default to zero if left blank.

1.
The runway length and the altimeter setting fields cannot be zero.
The altimeter setting can be entered in several ways for your convenience. For example for standard conditions you can type "29.92" or "2992" or you can use a metric value of "1013"

2.
If the "Use Proposed Weight" box is checked, the program will use the weight found in the "Proposed Weight" box. If left unchecked, the program will find the maximum allowable takeoff weight for the given conditions.

3. If there are no obstacles to clear and no required SID gradient, press the "None" button.
If there is an obstacle, enter the obstacle height above the brake release point in feet. Then enter the obstacle's distance from the brake release point.

4. Press the "View Details" button to see the details of all the weight limitations encountered and the flight path details

A pop-up window will appear showing the detailed information as seen below

Landing Example - G550

G550 Landing Performance

In this example the user has selected

  • Anti-Ice: Cowl and Wing
  • Anti-Skid: On
  • Auto-Spoilers: On

The aircraft is landing on Slush-Covered Runway
Slush depth is 0.3 inches

The app displays the Dr-Runway Landing Distance for reference.
The Contaminated Landing Field Length of 7564 feet is shown at the bottom of the page

The Brake Energy Limit of 89309 pounds is not a factor since the landing weight is 72350 pounds.

This example shows the Zero-Fuel Weight and Balance Envelope

The aircraft's Basic Operating Weight is shown for visual reference

Takeoff and Landing CG (%MAC) values are also computed

These results can be emailed directly from your iPad
or, if necessary, this page can be printed using Air Print and a Wireless Printer
